Chow Mein (Gail)


















1 stalk chopped celery
1 large onion, sliced
1 can bamboo shoots
1 can bean sprouts
1 can water chestnuts
1 can mushrooms
salt and soy sauce to taste
chow mein noodles

Cook covered and steam until vegetables are tender. Drain juice and thicken with cornstarch and pour back over chow mein. Add salt and soy sauce to taste. Serve hot over Chinese noodles.
