Pumpkin or Applesauce Cookies (Laura S.)

1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs

cream

1 C applesauce or pumpkin

cream

2 C flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg

mix together. Add in Chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
